Studio Recorder

What is it?

The Studio Recorder is our fully uncompressed recorder, and remains the ultimate in digital recording. It can record any format from HD for television to the highest quality digital cinematography cameras, all completely uncompressed. It is made from heavy-duty aluminium and carbon fibre to deliver total reliability in the field.

What does it do?

The Studio Recorder handles one or two channels of uncompressed material. It can record 1hr50m per Datapack at 1920x1080p@24fps 10-bit RGB 4:4:4. It can make the full range of deliverables directly.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to work to the ultimate quality. The Studio Recorder is designed for single or multi-camera production. It can record simultaneously from two 4:4:4 cameras – for A&B or 3D stereo shoots – or optionally from two 4:2:2 cameras.

How does it work?

The Studio Recorder delivers immediate full- frame playback and review to video monitors or tape machines. It also delivers full-resolution files over a network via the Virtual File System for on-set quality control, and delivers shots in multiple industry-standard formats seamlessly to any post-production workflow. This includes native-mode files that editing-systems can use with no importing at all. Recordings are made to high-specification, shock-mounted RAID-3 Datapacks, ensuring exceptional data security.
