The Onboard/Portable Transfer Station is the workflow hub for productions using the Codex Onboard or Portable. It provides fast back-up for the material, deals with archival, and produces the entire range of deliverables.
The Onboard/Portable Transfer Station handles two Datapacks from the Onboard or Portable, or direct data-offload from the Onboard or Portable. It can also contain a 9TB Internal Datapack and one or two LTO4 backup drives. The Onboard/Portable Transfer Station can copy the material to the Internal Datapack, copy between Datapacks, make archive tapes, and quickly convert material to a wide-range of file-formats for post production.
Anyone who needs a streamlined workflow with an Onboard or Portable. Recorded material can be loaded into the Onboard/Portable Transfer Station and file generation or archival can begin immediately while the Onboard/Portable continues shooting.
The Onboard/Portable Transfer Station holds material on Datapacks, and uses the Virtual File System system to deliver shots in multiple industry-standard formats, seamlessly to archive tape, disk or a network. It feeds any post production workflow, including native-mode files that editing systems can use with no importing at all.
It also delivers full-frame playback and review to video monitors or tape machines, makes complete tape playouts from shot-lists, and will even conform simple EDLs for direct viewing or projection.
