They can also be used with the Codex Vault or the Codex Transfer Station for Mac OS X (Complete) for the fast back up of files, meaning that Codex Datapacks can be quickly backed up and returned to the set, saving money and increasing efficiency.
The Transfer Drives are fully compatible with the Codex Transfer Station for Mac OS X and the Codex Vault S.

The Transfer Drives are fully compatible with the Codex Transfer Station for Mac OS X and the Codex Vault S, allowing for the QC of material, editing of metadata, creation of deliverables and archiving of original camera data.

Transfer Drives
The Codex Onboard S Recorder can a single channel over 3G-SDI. It can record 4:2:2/4:4:4 10/12 bit uncompressed HD or JPEG 2000 wavelet encoded HD material - plus embedded audio and metadata - onto a removable, solid-state Capture Drive (240 GB or 480GB). There is a dual channel option for recording high-speed material or two channels (either stereo or from two separate cameras). It is weather-resistant and weighs only. The Onboard S is ideal for smaller HD-SDI cameras like the Sony PMW-F3 and the Canon EOS C300.
The Capture Drives are fully compatible with the Codex Transfer Station for Mac OS X and the Codex Vault S, allowing for the QC of material, editing of metadata, creation of deliverables and archiving of original camera data.
